Our Partnership with Paddington Academy

We are very pleased to work closely with the Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated Paddington Academy in Westminster, which is also part of United Learning.

Together, we share an ethos of bringing out the ‘best in everyone’ and our staff work in partnership to share best practice in teaching and learning.

To support our pupils’ transition into secondary school, we have been developing a seamless ‘all-through’ curriculum which maps the learning and skills children need from Early Years through to Sixth Form. This will enable us to deliver the best opportunities and outcomes we can for children over the course of their education and support them to make strong progress at all stages.

In addition, we also work closely with Langford Primary, a United Learning school in West London, to learn from each other and provide greater opportunities for our pupils and staff.

Priority Admissions as a ‘Feeder School’

Paddington Academy is a highly competitive, non-selective academy in inner West London with 1,200 students from ages 11-18. Each year, high proportions of its students achieve excellent academic results and go onto some of the UK’s top universities, apprenticeships and training opportunities.

From September 2023, Paddington Academy’s Admissions Policy includes priority for Year 6 pupils at Wilberforce Primary in its oversubscription criteria. This gives greater opportunity for our pupils to attend in Year 7 when they make the transition to secondary school.

Pupils will still need to apply via the usual local authority procedure. If you need more information, please phone the school office on 020 8054 4100.
