A Warm Welcome to Wilberforce Primary
Welcome to Wilberforce Primary School!
We are part of United Learning, a family of schools across the country, with the shared aim to bring out ‘the best in everyone’. We are ambitious for all of our pupils and determined that every child, no matter their ability, will receive an excellent start to a life-long learning journey. We want every pupil to achieve their full potential during their time with us.
As newly appointed Executive Headteacher, I am delighted to introduce you to our talented school leaders: Headteacher Mrs Claire Macfie and Mr David Casey, Deputy Head & EYFS Lead. The leadership team also includes: Mr David Young, KS2 Leader; Ms Mary Kerbey, acting KS1 Leader and Miss Felicity Chame, newly appointed SENCO (Special educational needs co-ordinator).
Situated in Queen’s Park, in the heart of North West London, we serve a diverse and vibrant community. Everyone at Wilberforce Primary is committed to making sure that children and their learning, wellbeing and safety are at the heart of all we do. I know I speak for all staff when I say that the most important thing for us is hearing children say that they really enjoy their time at our school.
We have designed a new, exciting and innovative curriculum for each year group. Proud of our London heritage, our lessons are designed to help children develop a rich knowledge and understanding of the capital city through visits and visitors. We also provide ample opportunities for our children to become active members of the local community – as eco-champions, musicians, sportsmen and women, fundraisers and even junior politicians!
I hope you enjoy looking at this website and seeing the many opportunities for learning and development that our children have at this rapidly improving school. This can only give you a flavour of what is on offer at Wilberforce Primary.
If you are considering this school for your child we warmly invite you to come and visit us, meet with our excellent staff team and see how happy our pupils are on a normal school day.
