E-Safety

Children increasingly use the internet and technology in their daily lives to learn, research, play and communicate. The online world is a useful place for young people to explore, with great opportunities for learning and creativity, but just like the real world there are risks and dangers that children should be aware of and which we should all act to protect them from. As a school we encourage the use of technology as an important part of our students’ development but always want them to spend their time online safely.

Safeguarding and Internet Safety

We are committed to keeping every child safe and for this reason, we ensure that any adult working in school undertake rigorous criminal checks.  We insist that any visitor to school who will be working in the areas where children have access has clearance and photographic evidence of who they are.  We pride ourselves in giving children "A Voice" and for this reason we investigate any allegation a child makes.  All staff have had Child Protection training.

The Safeguarding children policy is available to download from the policies page of our website.

Internet Safety

The school maintains a record of all staff and children with internet access and this is supervised at all times.  Parents are asked to give permission regarding using children's photographs in the press and on the school website.
